Turning Knowledge into Action

At Cervivor, we believe that education and advocacy are key to eliminating cervical cancer. That’s why we launched Cervivor Cares, an initiative dedicated to raising awareness and promoting access to necessary screening and treatment in communities around the world.

Our Mission

Cervivor Cares is built on three pillars:
  • Education: We provide essential resources and information to empower individuals and communities to take control of their cervical health.
  • Volunteering: We engage in community outreach and partner with organizations to provide preventative screenings and support services.
  • Active Presence: We amplify the voices of Cervivors and advocate for policy changes that promote equitable access to healthcare.

The Ladies in the White Shirts

Our Cervivor Cares initiative was launched at our Communities of Color Retreat, where participants put their knowledge into action by volunteering at a clinic hosted by Medworks and the Cleveland Clinic. Our Cervivors shared their stories, translated for patients, and emphasized the importance of cervical cancer screenings and HPV vaccination. They were dubbed “The Ladies in the White Shirts” by patients and staff, who encouraged others to seek them out for guidance. Other Ways Cervivor Cares Gives Back

MLK Day of Service

Every January, we are committed to honoring the legacy of Martin Luther King Junior with a #CervivorCares Day of Service. We’re giving back to those impacted by cervical cancer and supporting the various healthcare professionals who care for us. Join us in diverse community service initiatives, such as care packages and community support. Make a donation to help us reach community members worldwide. Every donation, whether $5, $25, $500, or $5,000, counts and propels our mission forward. Together, we can make a difference!

Gift Card Fund

This December, we’re launching a Gift Card Fund to support cervical cancer patients and survivors. By donating a new or unused gift card, you can help ease the financial burden that often accompanies a cervical cancer diagnosis, from unexpected medical expenses to transportation and other daily living costs. Your gift card contribution will make a meaningful difference to those who need it most.

Starting January 2025, gift cards will be awarded to selected recipients based on need and nomination. Your gift card donation will:

  • Help cover transportation costs for medical appointments or pay for nearby hotel stays
  • Assist with daily expenses, such as groceries and meals.
  • Help take care of pharmacy expenses and other medical costs
  • Offer comfort and compassion during a difficult time

Get Involved

Beyond participating in Cervivor’s Gift Card Drive this month, there are other ways to help cervical cancer patients in need. You can:

  • Nominate Recipients: Cervivor community members can nominate themselves or others to receive gift card support or assistance through our Comfort Care & Compassion Program. You’ll brighten a patient’s day in the process!
  • Donate Directly: Cervivor offers various ways to sponsor gift funds that support our initiatives to end cervical cancer.
  • Share Our Mission: Help raise awareness about cervical cancer – one of the few truly preventable cancers – by sharing our content on social media with #Cervivor #CervicalCancer #CervivorCares. Encourage others to get involved in Cervivor’s fundraising and donation opportunities, too.
