International HPV Awareness Day

The International Papillomavirus Society (IPVS) is the leading global authority on human papillomaviruses (HPV). To increase awareness and education, IPVS has declared March 4th International HPV Awareness Day.

Over 80% of people will be infected by HPV, at some point in their life. It’s been shared billions of times. While some HPV infections may not cause harm, there are a few that can hurt us and our loved ones. The most harmful HPV types cause vaginal/vulvar, cervical, anal, penile, and oropharyngeal cancers. The good news is that there are solutions. By increasing awareness and HPV vaccination we can make the world a safer place for everyone.

Cervivor is honored to participate in a global day to ensure that people around the world understand HPV prevention, screening and management of HPV related diseases. We will continue to share our stories to end the stigma of HPV.
